We’ve just come back from Photo Plus Expo in New York where the ILFORD Imaging booth was always busy. We were actively printing photos on ILFORD GALERIE inkjet papers using the new PIXMA PRO-1 printer from Canon. We were also using new profiles made for the PIXMA PRO-1 and ILFORD GALERIE papers. We sat down with Jane Dixon, Director of Global Marketing at ILFORD Imaging to talk about the show. Be sure to check out the video below by the folks at Photo Bay.
ILFORD blog: ILFORD Imaging exhibited at the recent Photo Plus Expo in NYC. What was your impression of the reaction of folks to ILFORD inkjet papers there?
Jane Dixon: We had a fantastic reception from visitors to our stand at Photo Plus, who particularly enjoyed the chance to see prints being made from the new Canon PIXMA PRO-1 on our professional GALERIE media. We found that there was particular interest in our GALERIE Gold Fibre Silk, a traditional fibre based paper and Smooth Lustre Duo, a truly double-sided media great for portfolios and wedding albums as the results were just stunning.
As the Photo Plus Expo has such a focus on new technology it was the perfect time to unveil our GALERIE ICC profiles for Canon’s new PIXMA PRO-1 printer, and we look forward to hearing customer’s feedback on the results they’re getting from the new profiles when they try them at home or in the workplace.
